At 377 Riverside Drive East, Caesars Windsor occupies the Detroit River waterfront. Across the water lies the Detroit skyline, close to where the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel surfaces on the Canadian side. Its story starts in May 1994, when Casino Windsor opened in a temporary location as Ontario's first casino. The permanent riverfront resort opened on July 29, 1998, and the name Caesars Windsor arrived on June 19, 2008.

Caesars Entertainment has run the resort for OLG since March 3, 2026, under an agreement lasting 20 years. The casino floor runs 24/7. For holiday hours and contacts, check the casino's own page at caesars.com/caesars-windsor. The toll-free line is 1-800-991-7777.

Ontario launched its regulated market for online gambling on April 4, 2022. Private operators run it under the conduct and management of iGaming Ontario, with the AGCO as regulator. iGaming Ontario keeps the directory at igamingontario.ca, the official list of regulated sites. Online play is 19+ and allowed only while physically in Ontario. Ontario has a government-run online casino of its own, OLG.ca.

Any paid link on this page bears the Ad label and takes readers to a partner operating a private online casino. That partner carries no endorsement from the guide, so readers should verify any online casino in the iGaming Ontario directory. The guide's online page has more on the subject.
